President Joe Biden recently took a trip to southeast Asia, ostensibly to promote lines of diplomatic communications and to begin discussing potential trade issues.

Biden, as did each of his predecessors for the past 50 years, failed to demand discussions of the only number which should ever concern a United States President:

  As of June 9, 2023, the number of Americans missing and unaccounted-for from the Vietnam War was 1,579: 1,238 in Vietnam, 285 in Laos, 48 in Cambodia, and 7 in the People’s Republic of China’s territorial waters.

Ever the hypocrite, Biden makes the grand gesture of ending his nonsensical ramblings with the comment “may God protect our troops.”

When the opportunity to take action on that prayer, he chose to go silent. As noted, every president has failed in securing a full account of our American heroes. Given Biden’s conduct regarding his cowardly retreat from Afghanistan at the cost of 13 active military personnel, his silence on the POW/MIA issue is particularly painful. When the coffins of the 13 returned, Biden checked his watch and told grieving families he understood their pain given he lost his son who served in Iraq. Sadly, Beau Biden died from cancer, but not from war-incurred wounds, and his family was able to say goodbye. The families of the 13 had no chance for such farewells, and were met by a president who had other things to do.

Biden’s disdain and contempt for our military is evident, and a bell that cannot be un-rung.

 

It IS heartening to see that the public’s view has changed for the positive. People who see an active duty or veteran will reach out and thank them for their service.

It would be nice if the commander-in-chief shared that respect.

 

When the Vietnam veterans first returned, they were spat upon, given no parades, and ignored by the political class as undesirables. As time marches on, we are quickly losing our veterans to age and declining health.

Joe Biden must offer the vets a salute and demand in the name of each and every hero who has not yet come home a full accounting of those still lost.

Americans must demand that not a single cent go to any country harboring the remains of our warriors.

Failure to do so will cause us, and deservedly so, national pain and shame.

American citizenship demands no less.

The framers and founders crafted the United States Constitution in such a way that its governing principles were to function for the majority of our population to live in freedom and prosperity. That is its overt responsibility. Sadly, less understood is that the same protections are provided for the minority opinions and beliefs. Our founders understood that if freedom was not secured for all, it would never be secure for any.

This is, in a thumbnail, the promise of America. The same freedoms for all. America has paid dearly in blood and treasure for our rights, and in many ways it is what binds us together as a people and a nation. We have forged our destiny together.

 

That solemn pact has been perverted by far too many into a belief that only popular thoughts deserve rights and protections.

Wrong.

If America does not stand for its bedrock principles, it will stand for nothing.

Over the last few decades, our political leaders have attempted to export American democracy to nations who have been unable to first do the hard work of earning Democracy. It has been, in every instance, a failure. The only way to show the potentials of freedom is to first demonstrate them. They cannot be given or enforced.

America must lead by example, not by word.

 

The failures of our foreign policies have crystallized under the inept and cowardly leadership of Joe Biden.

Consider that Donald Trump brought Iran to its economic knees by using the power of America, without need of our military firing a shot.

Trump knew that America doesn’t like bullies. As a country, we have faced down thugs and supported the underdog.

Biden allowed billions of dollars to flow into Iran in the demented belief that such actions would result in positive reactions by Iran.

Enter Hamas.

 

President George Washington, in his farewell address, cautioned against foreign entanglements. (Look no further than the farce that is the United Nations to confirm the wisdom of his foresight.) It would allow America to be event specific in its support. Sadly, we are entrenched into so many foreign treaties, we now need to make political calculations in deciding our international course of action. We have lost our ability to demonstrate the power of a free people.

 

Most politicians have accepted the philosophy that if we break it, we own it in regards to international events.

Why?

Consider this situation on a global scale, and our status matters.

(For those who may recoil at the scenario, get a grip and understand the point.)

 

A red-blooded American male is walking through a mall parking lot. The next row over, he sees a punk hit his girlfriend.

Does he stop and think about his response, or maybe just walk away?

Of course not. He walks right over and after seeing the swelling of the girls’ face, turns to the punk and calmly says “bad move.” And proceeds to pummel the coward.  As the punk is laying face down trying to find his teeth, mister red-blooded turns to help Miss Damsel-in-Distress.

Once he is assured she is safe and sound, he goes on his way. He has no interest or concern for mister toothless, other than knowing mister bloodied has learned a valuable lesson.

 

America has no purpose in being the world’s policeman.

We should take the opportunity to demonstrate that a free people will have your back if you were attacked first.

Treaties are ok, but they should not limit our responses to countries under assault by bullies.

America is the land of the free BECAUSE of the brave.

There seems to be a misconception about the Department of Justice. It is not a part of the framers and founders construct for a functioning government. It was established in 1870 by President Grant. The position of Attorney General, intended as a part time position, is a constitutional mandate, but like most political creations, the Department has become grotesquely overblown and taken on too much governmental power. The nation should have become concerned and reigned in the DOJ after the blatant excesses of the F.B.I. under J. Edgar Hoover were exposed. Sadly, those transgressions were ignored and the DOJ grew in size and scope, under the guise of “protecting the American people.”

As with most everything he has touched, Joe Biden has allowed the DOJ to persecute and prosecute American citizens with whom he politically disagrees.

He has allowed the DOJ to harass parents at school board meetings, under the umbrella of their being “domestic terrorists.” The same fate has befallen Catholics who attend Latin Mass, also because such people follow the profile of those same “terrorists”.

The list of Americans terrorized by Biden grows daily. As the leader of the political left, his is a diseased mentality concerning the process of ‘justice’. The persecution of Donald Trump should nauseate every American. A simple reading of the indictments should shake democracy to its core.

Whether you support or despise him, Trump is being threatened with the loss of his rights and his freedom. If Biden is successful with his assault on fundamental Constitutional rights, believe that average citizens who dare think for themselves are the next targets of Biden’s sense of justice.

Certainly, if Trump committed crimes, he should be held to account.  In the face of what has been proffered so far, Trump is as guilty as your grandma.

The question now becomes what is the solution for a legal system run amok?

Simple.

Dismantle its operational structure. Recent history is replete with stories of political prosecutions. Biden and the other cowards of the political left have elevated the process to a staggering art form and so it must be taken away from them.

Our proposal.

Make the Department of Justice operate under the auspices of the Judicial Branch, thereby keeping it out of the clutches of both the White House and the Congress. The DOJ Director can be nominated by the President, but must reach a consensus vote threshold of 66% by both the House and the Senate. The Director may serve for only one term, not to exceed seven years.

This proposal has been met with complaints that it is too onerous and has too high a threshold to reach.

 

Exactly. The founders and framers created a legislative process that is absolutely onerous and difficult to manage. That was their intention and their wisdom.

We believe the Justice Department should operate the same way.

Removing Lady Justice from political opportunists like Joe Biden is the strongest guarantee that she will fulfill the trust and belief that all participants who may come before her will be met with fairness and equality under the law.

Failure to do so will result in bringing fear to all Americans who Biden thinks have it ‘wrong’.

Sadly, it’s the President who has it wrong.

Ed. note: Before delving into the specific topic at hand, we believe it is imperative to make this point crystal clear:

America has been through topsy-turvy times before, been led astray by special interests and dark forces before, and without fail we have shaken them off and emerged stronger and with a greater clarity of purpose as a nation. The surest way to get to that point is to give voice to, and shine a light on, any given absurdity. As credited to founding father Stephen Hopkins, the Madison Conservative has “never heard any damn thing too dangerous to talk about!”

There have been times in our history where there used to be what were termed “ drumhead court-martials” established and sanctioned by the military to address battlefield justice. They were merely a formality to provide the illusion of justice. There were no rights of the accused to consider and certainly none of the legal protections enshrined in the United States Constitution for the defendant.

Th accused came before the drumhead and summary judgement was given, followed swiftly by punishment. In many cases, execution was swift.

These trials were considered acceptable given both the fog of war and the need for maintaining military discipline.

In short, this is what the political left today, led by the coward-in-chief and his fully corrupted Department of Justice, helmed by Attorney General Merrick Garland. As you read the following facts, never forget that Garland was nominated by President Obama for an appointment to the Supreme Court, and that Biden’s nominee was unable to define the term ‘woman’ during her Senate confirmation hearings. These are but two examples of what the political left think of American jurisprudence.

         In the wake of this weeks Supreme Court rulings, the demented coward-in-chief again took aim at the United States Constitution by declaring the Court was not ‘normal’. The sycophantic stenographic imbecilic media echoed his sentiments. Given those concerned are simply too stupid to read either the Constitution, let alone the actual decisions, The Madison Conservative will do our best to demonstrate the ignorance, racism and hatred of the political left.

         Consider the vile nature of Biden’s approach to the Court and abandonment of ‘justice for all’:

         After any mass shooting, the Democrats demand tougher gun laws to curb the violence. Fine. Hunter Biden violates FEDERAL law in his procuring a firearm, and receives probation. All the media says is that it was a political prosecution and that he is a recovering addict who needs to be ‘understood’. Sadly, the prisons are full of Americans who committed the same crime but whose fathers are not President.

The human debris that are Chuck Schumer and Maxine Waters threaten the Supreme Court and the Trump administration respectively and are heralded as heroes. Donald Trump exhorts a crown to peaceably protest and he is impeached and now threatened with prison.

        

         Parents voice their concerns about their children’s education and Garland, liar and punk that he is, unleashes his Department of Justice on those parents on the guise of them being “domestic TERRORISTS.” Welcome to the dystopian America that is Bidenville. We began to assemble a compendium of Garlands transgressions but there are only 168 hours in a week.

        

Now to the reality of the Court rulings that Biden has deemed un-American .

 

In no particular order:

 

The “Anti-LGBTQ+ Ruling that makes America unsafe for that community.”

Nonsense.

If you sell a predetermined product, you must sell it to any consumer. That is fair and just. What the court ruled is if you personalize, or custom create that product, the freedom of speech affords you the right to decline using that skill for any reason you choose. This case was regarding a web-designer who did not wish to use her design skills in support of gay marriage. The issue has absolutely nothing to do with the LGBTQ community. Nothing at all. It DOES have to do with the freedom of speech. The Court ruled that an individual has the right to say NO, that they cannot be forced to do what the majority may wish. Chalk up a win for the Constitution, despite what the idiot President says.

 

         The Affirmative Action decision. This one is painfully easy to explain. College applicants should be judge on their merit, the content of their character, NOT the color of their skin.

 

         The Student Loan decision: We will try to use small words, given the average intelligence of the woke left borders on that of a rock. The Court did NOT rule on the merits on the argument about loan forgiveness. Again, that was NOT the ruling. What the Court said was that Meandering Joe did NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY to forgive debt. That right lies in the LEGISLATIVE branch. It is telling that when the Democrats held power they never acted on it. Joe knowingly lied when he made his promise, and now he says that ‘extreme MAGA Republicans’ want to cripple Americans with debt they agreed to repay. The Madison Conservative chuckles loudly when scoundrels like Biden makes the claim that during Covid, businesses were given loan forgiveness because again those nasty Republicans wanted to help out their pals.

No, you lying sack of dirt. Those monies were voted on and passed by Congress, as delineated by the separation of powers in the Constitution. The only parties acting not normal, un-American, and unconstitutionally was the mentally impaired leader of the woke.

 

         Regular readers of this blog may have noted that there have been an inordinate number of ad hominin attacks used for this post. It was very much intentional. As we noted at the outset, America always emerges stronger after the crazies are voted out. How else to explain the ability to demean our political leaders without fear of disappearing in the night, which happens pretty much everywhere else on the planet.

Memorial Day is when we remember those of our fellow Americans who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the greatest nation the world has ever known.  

Despite the Biden administrations published belief, it is NOT merely a “long holiday weekend.”

It is much more, and this is a perfect time to speak to that fact.

There is an alarming trend occurring within the military that seems to garner little media coverage.  The issue is concerning the rise of active military and veteran suicides.

The silence of the Commnder-in-Chief is understandable, given Joe Biden is a coward. That is not rhetoric or hyperbole. What other term describes a President who turned and ran in the face of the enemy, and who scarified 13 military personnel? How else to describe a President who abandoned Americans behind enemy lines and then told the world he oversaw the greatest evacuation in history?

It is painfully obvious Biden is not equipped to issue the necessary orders to address the suicide heartbreak.

The Madison Conservative, an organization with proud veteran bona fides, will do what Biden cannot and will not do.

To ALL Military Personnel, active and Veterans,  you are hereby ordered to:

 

Take care of yourselves.

We can address the visible physical injuries, as that is America’s promise to you. We stand ready to keep that sacred pact with you. You have stood tall and took a watch to defend this nation. Your honor and heroism is without question and is in the highest traditions of the word ‘Patriot.’.

There are sadly, some wounds that you must express to us, as they remain invisible.

Nobody can fully understand the trials and traumas many of our service men and women suffer, even if we have stood where you are. The experiences you have had are as individual as is each life. There is no ‘sliding scale’ of mental wellness. The argument that you may have had it better or worse than a brother or sister in arms is a false equivalency.

The issue, and concerns, are about YOU, and you alone. It is not about demonstrating weakness by asking for help. You have already clearly demonstrated your strength simply by the act of military service. You are in the class of those called ‘brave.’

You MUST understand that the United States endures because of your sacrifices. America needs YOU, your example of leadership, of defending those who cannot defend themselves. YOU are the real ambassadors of democracy, not an imbecilic bureaucrat who says highways are racist.

America needs YOU to be the beacons of light you have proven you are.

Please note none of this is a request. Consider it an order from a brother vet.

WE NEED YOU!

 

To my fellow citizens, you have your part to do as well. And this too is not a request or even a suggestion.

It is a demand.

Everybody know either a vet or active duty member of the armed forces. They put their lives on the line because of their sense of duty. The least you can do is find some time to check-in with them, and then just listen. If you hear they need something, make sure you do what you can to aide in that request. You could offer to sit on the phone for them while they seek help from the VA. It’s not an issue of cost, it’s a matter of principle.

We cannot afford to lose anyone in the military to suicide.

Remember this: They sacrificed their yesterdays to secure your tomorrows.

Preventing suicide is a debt you must pay.

This Memorial Day, make the effort.

Congratulations. Now Shut Up And Do Your Job! - A Commentary

The balance of power debate brought about by the 2022 election has been settled, decided, and resolved. The political class has now turned their blather to discussions of the 2024 presidential elections. Their insipid and bellicose vitriol will be amplified and repeated ad nauseum now that former President Donald Trump has announced his intention to seek another term as president. The American people will be ill-served by their employees if this nonsense is allowed to move forth.

 

To that point, the Madison Conservative would like to make a few salient points on the 2024 elections that we believe are actually more important to the electorate than the wagering on the Iowa primaries.

 

To wit, and in no particular order.

 

- We still need to have the 2023 elections first. As we have implored the citizenry before to understand, EVERY election is important, whether or not the media and the political class – of all political philosophies – feel they are not as ‘sexy’ as the elections they unilaterally decide have some more merit than others.

 

- Now that the 118^th Congress has been elected, there is the minor inconvenience of actual governing that must be addressed, and done BEFORE the partisan posturing for 2024 begins.

 

We offer the following as a guide the new Congress should follow as they begin their new temp job. We believe it is the greatest descriptor of the true role of government ever expressed.

 

 

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

 

With all sincere and due respects to certain members of our readership who would prefer we abstain from coarse language, we think the Preamble is DAMN sexy.

 

We understand that many members of Congress have not had the time, inclination or mental acuity to read and understand the Preamble, let alone ALL of the United States Constitution, so as a public service as part of the congressional onboarding process, we will provide proper annotations.  Consider it a primer, a Preamble For Dummies, as it were.

 

We the People - The people who have hired yo, the people for whom you work, and the people who can fire you. The American people do not serve YOU. WE are profit, YOU are overhead. Any business will tell you that in order to succeed, you maximize profits and minimize the overhead. Therein is your new reality and the paradigm under which you will work.

 in Order to form a more perfect Union – Nobody has ever claimed America was perfect. What we DO claim is that we understand we are a work in progress. We are all in pursuit of providing equal OPPORTUNITY to prosper. If you try to force a specific OUTCOME, you have bastardized the goal of a free people. Any elected official who tries to pit one American against another American, is not working to form a more perfect union. You are an embarrassing hack looking to secure your position. Follow that path and you will quickly be looking for a new job, no doubt using your aptitudes to clean up the bodily wastes adorning many American city sidewalks.

 

establish Justice – crime is sweeping America because of so-called justice reform. The only efforts have been to aid criminals in becoming crime recidivists. Require officials who have sworn to uphold the law to do just that. If you fail to do so, what rationale would you give to a mother who’s child has been shoved in front of a subway train? It is a simple equation that Americans have depended on. “Do the crime, do the time.” The basics always work.

 

 insure domestic Tranquility – any citizen or group of citizens who riot under any circumstance need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Americans have a right to feel safe and secure walking down the street. If you fail to do so, as noted above, be prepare to clean those streets yourself.

 

provide for the common defence – the purpose of a military is to kill people and break things. Esprit de corps is a real thing. Support our armed forces by providing them what they need ir order to fulfill the missions they are give. Currently China is adding to their military weaponry while Joe Biden has our military focusing on the proper use of gender-neutral and affirming pronouns. Please restore our defense priorities as soon as you’re done taking your oath of office.

 

promote the general Welfare – spoiler alert: this does NOT mean getting the people to survive by the good graces of the government. This does NOT mean taking money from one group to buy votes from another. This DOES mean stop printing money we don’t have to avoid doing your job. It DOES mean having an economic policy that is supported by energy independence. America has no need to grovel to dictators to provide energy to America. Stop the Biden madness of declaring war on the energy industry. It will begin to ease the inflation rate, allowing Americans to balance their household budgets without needing to secure a fifth mortgage on their homes.

 

and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity – saddling our posterity with a 30 trillion-dollar debt, restricting free speech because you disagree with it, bankrupting families with psychotic tax policies, and impeding our children’s education is the opposite of securing liberty. As an aside, to the education point,  those in charge of public schools for the last half century have said they were focused on teaching our children the 3 ‘R’s.  That should have been a tip-off of their intent. The  truth is that they should have been teaching 1 R, 1 W, and 1 A.  I have confidence you’ll figure that out. If you can’t, best of luck in your new job. You’ll need it.

Please note the founders and framers did not mention anywhere that their Constitution was for only those of a specific political party. It was intended for ALL Americans.

The election posturing is over. No more callind fellow citizens Nazi’s, racists, or any other pejorative.  The American people have called it a draw. The first imbecile who hurls an epithet for effect will be held accountable.

 

Follow the Constitution and be part of the crowd that is damn sexy.

Election Day 2022 - November 8th, 2022 - A Recap & A Perspective

The United States Constitution , and the American people, have again been the intentional recipients of the wisdom and faith of the founders.

 

As it has happened for more than some 233 years and counting, a free people have let their voices be heard. Once again, there was no violent attempts to discard the Constitution in favor of a tyrant.

 

The media, across all platforms and ideologies have spent much of their time declaring winners and losers. They have quoted polls and suggested rationales to explain why certain elections did not follow their pre-determined scripts. They exhibit the same level of stupidity when declaring that a storm has changed its computer-modeled track. The storm has not changed anything. It is a force of nature and will do what it does. It is the arrogance and idiocy of man that feels they have the ability to forecast events, be it hurricanes or elections. Hubris defined.

 

There will no doubt be citizens who feel either elated or despondent at the election results.  The wonderful thing about the American people is that they will digest that information and then move on with their lives, as they pursue their individual concepts of a happy life.

 

We spent last evening following the networks and their election coverage. To see such insipid commentary – again across all platforms and political persuasions – it can seem a miracle that the elections can happen at all.

 

The Constitution was so brilliantly constructed by our founders that it works best when the government can be prevented from doing the bidding of all scoundrels and other political ner-do-wells. As of this writing, the opposition party has wrestled control of the House of Representatives from the Democrats. The control of the Senate is still in doubt, but in many ways it no longer matters. The Biden agenda has been brought to a standstill for the next two years. Many pundits this evening, and perhaps many citizens, fear that ‘gridlock’ will have a deleterious effect on our nation.

 

Actually the opposite is true, because of the Constitution. While wild proposals are now no longer a possibility, to move legislation forward will mandate that all political forces must work together for the betterment of the nation.

 

So while the media class spew forth vitriol about winners and losers, we ask you to consider the intent of the United States Constitution.

 

To wit:

 

Nobody ‘lost’. What happened is that ineffective temporary employees of the American electorate got fired for doing a bad job.

In the real world, that happens every day.

There were no election ‘winners’. All that happened is America hired some new temporary employees, who learned just how tenuous their jobs can be if they fail to perform to the best of their abilities.

That, also, happens every day in the real world.

 

The election did demonstrate that there needs to be a continuing evolution on the election process as a whole. The voter machine failures in Arizona is an excellent example of election incompetence. The officials KNEW the election was coming, and they only needed the machines to work ONE day of the annual 365.

 

America deserves, and must demand, better. We hope the new temps can handle it.

 

So as Americans return to their daily lives, please feel free to ignore the imbeciles of the media who will try to ‘analyze’ the results and determine hoe those results differed from the polls. It’s always best to ignore the solipsistic and the stupid.

 

The only poll that matters, the only poll that should interest anybody, was the poll that happened last night.

 

On THAT point, the real winners were the American people and once again, the founders and framers.
